Are You Really Going to Vote?

I was just thinking about the debates between the local candidates. You may have missed the fireworks because you have cable T V…or a life. That’s why I’m here for you. My wife controls the remote so I have a choice between “So You Think You Can Dance?” and the debates on the TV in the bedroom. It all started with the debate for the 5th district congressional seat. John Lewis didn’t show up so the other two candidates actually asked questions his empty podium. The really bad part was that this made the podium look downright electable. Then there was the Clayton County debate. Do Clayton County voters really need a debate? If it has an (I) next to it, vote for the name furthest away from it. Simple! I have now watched “debates” from the presidential primaries all the way up to the Clayton County Sheriff’s race and I have decided to vote anyway. Not because I really believe any of these clods would make a difference, but because the unemployment office says I need to network. Where is the write-in movement for Mickey Mouse now that he’s the best candidate for the job.
